About this blog…

Hello!

Welcome to my blog, you might have caught the quick bio on the right, but what else is this site about? Well this little blog is a place for me to share anything relating to my work (graphic design and web developer), anything I find interesting on the wonder that is the internet, or some things I get up to in my leisure time.

As part of a sub-domain for the rest of my personal websites this blog will be updated as often as possible, I’m not treating it as a constant window into my life but hope to keep it more up to date than I have in the past. So, maybe be worth a wee check now and again! As I’ve mentioned this blog is part of a few sub-domains set-up as a personal web space, below are links to the other sites that might also be of interest.

Landing Page (dmcwhinnie.co.uk)

Gateway to all of my online presence as well as a summary of my design and developer skill-sets. Also provides links to some of my social media profiles.

Portfolio Site (portfolio.dmcwhinnie.co.uk)

A place to show some examples of my work, including graphic and web design and some video or photography examples.

CV Site (cv.dmcwhinnie.co.uk)

Sometimes it is just a pain to view a pdf document on a mobile device. Especially if is something important. That’s why I’ve re-created my CV into a responsive web page. No more struggling with the pinch and zoom for anyone I send it too!

Masters Project (msc.dmcwhinnie.co.uk)

Having submitted my thesis to complete my masters in Mobile Web Development I thought it would be a good idea to keep my project site “live” and use it as a demonstration piece to help explain what my MSc research project was all about. If you’re wondering it was looking at the usability of a modern responsive web framework like Bootstrap and Foundation.

OK, so now you might better have an idea what this blog is all about as well as all the other little sites I’ve stuck up on the internet. Have a read around the content, and remember you can always find me over on twitter or other social media channels.

Thank you for visiting!
